According to the EU regulation, single-use plastic products - including balloon sticks - have been banned since July 3, 2021. The use of helium in the balloons is also considered to be more than critical, as this gas damages the atmosphere and falling balloon fragments are mistaken for food by animals and become lodged in the stomach/intestinal tract, with the animals ultimately perishing miserably as a result.
